*POLITICAL MUSIC
** POLITICAL SATIRE ** POLITICAL CABARET*
That's right - Political Cabaret ...
Current-Events Broadway ... Samizdat Satire. Here it is. Eskit's
Website. The only official Website sanctioned by the BVD, the
DDT, and the ASAP. Welcome.
Eskit is the guy in the chicken suit. (Sometimes he dresses casual.)
He writes and performs political satire, and has most notably
shared the stage with Nina Simone and Garrison Keillor. His songs
have been played on NPR's "All Things Considered", Pacifica's
"Democracy Now", and for Amnesty International, Minnesota
Public Radio, and Air America Minnesota.
Eskit has a brand new album of 33 songs
(!) that are generally NOT suitable for the entire family. CONTROVERSY
101: RAUNCH AND BLASPHEMY comprises nearly 80 minutes of marginally
respectable music. Most of the tunes are tasteful, in a tacky
sort of way, but not all. Hopefully there is something here to
offend Republicans, Democrats, Mormons, Fundamentalists, The Honkie
Elite, Couch Potatoes, Prudes, Fake Feminists, Rednecks, and of
course Congress. If you’re none of the above, then you might
enjoy it. (I am not responsible for right-wingers prone to fainting
spells or hissy fits.)
For an album of 22 quirky songs that
have fun with celebrities, animals, and love, check this out:
ALL CREATURES GREAT AND
SMALL ($15), true to its title, encompasses a wondrous array
of life from mosquitoes to frogs, from lowly football teams to
American Idol judges, from Jerry Springer to Jesus. Although the
material is suitable for the entire family, there is an underlying
impishness that Eskit can’t help. It’s in his genes,
and neither counseling nor electro-shock therapy can rectify the
situation. Thank you for your patience.
Eskit also has an album of 22 songs that indict the hypocrisy
and misdeeds of the Bush Administration . IMPEACH
ME ($15) is political satire that shows no mercy. Although
it can be argued that there is no humor in skulduggery and incompetence,
Eskit does his best to find amusement where there is none.
Eskit also has four mini-albums ($5 each) which form the basis
for the IMPEACH ME CD. However, sixteen of the songs on these
mini-albums are not on IMPEACH ME. Behold the CDs:
1. Man
Of God (Big Brother Bush)
2 . I Got A Republican Up My Ass
3 . Naughty Naughty (Sex, Drugs, and Religion)
4 . STOP THE WAR!

And don’t forget my very first album (2001): When
The Chickens Come Home To Roost
COMING SOON: The HALLOWEEN Album, with
the songs “It’s Halloween In America”, “Zombies
In The Pentagon”, and “Vampire Love Song”.
